Who am I and what's going on?

I am Charlotte Devlin, I am 25 years old and I have recently discovered I have a pesky little disease called Multiple Sclerosis. I was compelled to set up my own blog/site as a way to learn more about this disease and also myself; it is hard enough trying to discover yourself in your twenties, so to add a chronic illness to the mix, well I soon discovered that I am a mess (get it?). One of the biggest things I have struggled with so far in life is my own mental health, so when I was first diagnosed, it gave me the motivation to take some courses in counselling - so that I could basically counsel myself and give the people around me a safe space to be themselves and open up completely, with no judgement. Ultimately, I have decided that this blog/site is another safe space and while I will be treating it like a diary of sorts, I also want to use it to encourage others, to motivate and to hopefully make people smile. Life is a big journey; it is full of ups, downs, twists and turns that are so hard to predict and sometimes overcome, it is no wonder people find themselves lost at some point. So if you ever find yourself lost, I hope you make it here where we can be pretty confused together, but making the most of it.
